Malcolm Sinclair
Malcolm Sinclair is a British stage and television actor, born on June 5, 1950, in London, England. A highly respected figure in the performing arts, he is noted for his extensive work with major theatre companies, including the Royal National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC). Sinclair trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School after studying at the University of Hull. His distinguished stage career includes performances in works by Shakespeare, Noël Coward, and Oscar Wilde, and he was nominated for an Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as Major Miles Flack in Privates on Parade and later received another nomination in 2019 for his role as General Dwight D. Eisenhower in Pressure. On screen, Sinclair is widely recognized for his long-running role as the supercilious Assistant Chief Constable Freddy Fisher in the television series Pie in the Sky (1994–1997). His numerous film credits include roles in the James Bond film Casino Royale (2006) as Dryden, V for Vendetta (2005) as Major Wilson, and The Young Victoria (2009). More recently, he has appeared in the Star Wars television series Andor (2022) as Colonel Wullf Yularen. Beyond acting, Sinclair served as the President of the actors' trade union, Equity, from 2010 to 2018.
