Małgorzata Pieczyńska

Małgorzata Pieczyńska (née Maciejewska) is a Polish film and television actress born on May 4, 1960, in Warsaw, Poland. She graduated from the PWST in Warsaw in 1984 and began her career in 1983, with early film roles including the unreleased for many years due to censorship Faithful River (1987) and later in Baryton (1985) and Lake Constance (1986). She was awarded the prestigious Zbigniew Cybulski Prize in 1986 for her body of work. In the late 1980s, she emigrated to Sweden, where she continues to live and work in films, series, and theater, in both Swedish and Polish productions. Her notable roles include a partnership with Janusz Gajos in Football Poker (1988), the TV series M jak miłość (since 2013) as Aleksandra Chodakowska, the Swedish series Bäckström as forensic scientist Nadja, and the Polish drama Dewajtis (2023). Pieczyńska is fluent in Polish and Swedish, and also speaks English, French, and Russian well. In her personal life, she was previously married to actor Andrzej Pieczyński (divorced) and is currently married to Gabriel Wróblewski, with whom she has a son named Wiktor.
