Maniesh Paul

Maniesh Paul is a highly popular and energetic Indian actor, television host, comedian, and singer, widely recognized as one of the most prominent anchors of his generation. Born on August 3, 1981, in New Delhi, he began his career in Mumbai as a radio jockey (RJ) for Radio City and a video jockey (VJ) for Zee Music. After transitioning to television, he initially took on roles in daily soaps like Ghost Bana Dost and Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi, but found his true calling in hosting. His charismatic stage presence, quick wit, and improvisational skills propelled him to fame as the host of numerous high-profile reality shows and award ceremonies, including Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Dance India Dance Li'l Masters (for which he won the Best Anchor award), Indian Idol, and India's Got Talent. Paul also successfully moved into films, making his lead debut in the comedy Mickey Virus (2013), and subsequently appearing in movies like Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive (2016) and the blockbuster Dharma Productions film JugJugg Jeeyo (2022), the latter earning him the Zee Cine Award for Best Comic Actor. He also ventured into the OTT space with the series Rafuchakkar (2023) and is part of the ensemble cast for the upcoming film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari (2025).
