Manolis Mavromatakis
Manolis Mavromatakis is a highly acclaimed Greek actor working across theater, cinema, television, and radio since 1991. Born on June 9, 1962, he initially pursued a degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens before graduating from the Veaki Theatrical School in 1991. He has had a prolific career, participating as an actor in over 50 theatrical performances—including major roles like Estragon in Waiting for Godot—and in over 50 fiction movies, short films, and TV productions. His notable film work includes Lotfy Nathan's The Carpenter's Son (2025), Les Traducteurs (2019), and his award-winning leading role as Kostas in G. Tsemperopoulos's The Enemy Within (2013), for which he won the Best Actor Award at the 2014 Nashville International Film Festival and the 2015 Tehran International Urban Film Festival. He has also been honored with the 2007 Karolos Koun Award for Theatrical Acting and has worked on major television productions like the Amazon miniseries Salade Grecque (2022). In addition to acting, he has directed theatrical performances for the National Theatre of Greece and taught acting at the Veaki Drama School.
