Marco D'Almeida

Marco D’Almeida (born April 27, 1975, in Mozambique) is a Portuguese actor and director based in Lanzarote who has built an international career across film, television, and theater. He studied at the Professional Theater School in Cascais, with further training in London and New York . He’s known for his versatility, appearing in notable films such as Night Train to Lisbon (2013), Fatima (2020) as António, and the popular Portuguese romantic comedy A Bela e o Paparazzo (2010). On television, Marco has been featured in acclaimed series including Sequía (2021) as Inspector Hélder Gomes, A Espia (2020), the Portuguese telenovela Meu Amor (2009–2010), and Belmonte (2013–2014), where he portrayed Carlos Belmonte. He remains active in theater, with credits including co-directing a 2003 production of Hamlets alongside Diogo Infante and starring in stage adaptations of classics like Macbeth and Pillowman . Since moving to Spain in 2016 to further his creative pursuits, he has continued to balance roles in both Portuguese and Spanish-speaking projects.
