Marco Pigossi, whose birth name is Marco Fábio Maldonado Pigossi, is a Brazilian actor and producer born in São Paulo on February 1, 1989. Prior to his acting career, he was a professional swimmer and was the runner-up of the state of São Paulo in 2005. He began acting in theater at the age of 13 and graduated with a degree in Radio and Television from Anhembi Morumbi University. Pigossi rose to prominence in Brazil with numerous roles in popular telenovelas for TV Globo, including the homosexual character Cássio in Caras & Bocas (2009–2010), a role that gained him awards, and the main role of Zeca in A Força do Querer (2017).He broadened his career to the international stage starting in 2018 when he moved to Los Angeles. His notable international television roles include playing Dylan in the Australian series Tidelands and the main role of Eric Alves in the Brazilian series Invisible City. More recently, he has played Dr. Edison Cardosa in the Prime Video series Gen V. Pigossi has also been involved in film, including his first feature starring role in the crime biopic O Nome da Morte (2017).In 2021, Pigossi publicly came out as gay, and he has been married to Italian playwright and director Marco Calvani since 2023. He has actively used his platform to champion inclusivity, co-producing the documentary Corpolitica, which spotlights queer political candidates in Brazil. His personal experiences informed his lead role as Lourenço and his work as executive producer on the 2024 film High Tide, which was directed by his husband and deals with a heartbroken Brazilian immigrant finding himself in Provincetown. He also co-starred in the 2025 horror-thriller film Bone Lake.
