María Paz Grandjean Cárdenas is a Chilean actress of theater and television, born in Santiago, Chile, on December 10, 1974. Her career in Chilean telenovelas began in 2002 with a role in Purasangre on Televisión Nacional de Chile (TVN), and she went on to appear in numerous other productions for TVN and Canal 13, including Papi Ricky, Aquí mando yo, and Pobre Rico. Beyond telenovelas, she has appeared in television series such as Los Galindo, Bala Loca, and Prófugos (HBO), and has had a significant career in theater, including the successful musical Lágrimas, Celos y Dudas. In film, she is known for roles in Nobody Knows I'm Here (2020) and the upcoming film Limpa (2025). Grandjean was also a victim of police violence in October 2019, when she was shot in the face by a police officer with a "less lethal" weapon during protests, an incident that later resulted in the officer's conviction for unlawful coercion.
