Marie Blokhus is a distinguished Norwegian actress born on October 7, 1982, in Bodø, Norway. She completed her acting education at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts in 2010 and was immediately employed at Det Norske Teatret, where she has become a prominent figure in Norwegian theatre . Blokhus has received critical acclaim for her stage performances, winning the Hedda Award for Best Actress in 2015 for her portrayal of Allis Hagtorn in Fugletribunalet at Det Norske Teatret. She was also nominated for the same award in 2013 for her roles in Over open avgrunn and Blackbird . In addition to her acting career, Blokhus has ventured into directing and writing. In 2019, she made her directorial debut with Våre barn by Lucy Kirkwood at Den Nationale Scene. She also co-wrote and directed Werther, based on Goethe's The Sorrows of Young Werther, at Det Norske Teatret . Blokhus has appeared in several films and television series. Notably, she played Ingrid Lykke in the Børning film series, which includes Børning (2014), Børning 2 (2016), and Børning 3 (2020). She also portrayed Gudrun Grønvoll in The 12th Man (2017) and Anna in Chasing the Wind (2013). On television, she starred as Maria Lerke in the sitcom Side om side (2013–2016) and had roles in Unge lovende (2018) and Utmark (2021) . Blokhus was married to actor Frank Kjosås from 2011 to 2016. She is currently in a relationship with actor Anders Baasmo Christiansen .
