Marilee Talkington
Marilee Talkington is an American actor, writer, director, and activist known for her work on stage and screen. She is legally blind, and has become a prominent voice for disability representation in the arts. Talkington is one of the few legally blind women to hold an M.F.A. in Acting and has originated numerous characters in her career, primarily playing sighted roles. She has appeared in television shows such as FBI: Most Wanted, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Apple TV+'s See and Extrapolations. Talkington made history as the first self-identified legally blind actress to be cast in a principal role on Broadway in Aaron Sorkin's adaptation of Camelot. She is also the founder and executive director of the Access Acting Academy, the world's first professional acting studio for blind and low-vision performers. Her recent work includes a role in the 2025 psychological horror film The Home.
