Markella Kavenagh (born January 30, 2000) is an Australian actress who rose to international prominence for her starring role as the curious and determined Harfoot Elanor "Nori" Brandyfoot in the Amazon Prime Video fantasy series, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022–present). Born in Australia, Kavenagh began her acting career in 2018, securing roles in several notable Australian television miniseries including playing Myrtle in Picnic at Hanging Rock, Cindi in Romper Stomper, and Chloe in the BBC/ABC co-production The Cry alongside Jenna Coleman. She made her feature film debut as Jane Cotter in the historical drama True History of the Kelly Gang (2019) and later starred as the lead in the critically acclaimed coming-of-age film My First Summer (2020). Her early success led to her being cast as one of the first actors attached to the highly anticipated Rings of Power series, a role which cemented her status on the global stage. Kavenagh has continued to diversify her portfolio, appearing as Portia in the 2023 miniseries Bad Behaviour and has an upcoming role in the 2025 film 100 Nights of Hero and the live-action adaptation of the video game Watch Dogs.
