Masa Yamaguchi
Masa Yamaguchi, born Hidemasa Yamaguchi in London in 1974 to Japanese parents, is a Japanese-Australian actor, stunt performer, and fight choreographer. Raised in Tokyo, he moved to Melbourne, Australia, at age 15 and later became the first Japanese student to graduate from Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 2001. His career encompasses a variety of roles in major international and Australian productions, showcasing both his dramatic talent and martial arts skills, which include 2nd dan black belts in judo and taekwondo. Notable film appearances include Saiga in The Condemned (2007), a Kempei Officer in The Railway Man (2013), and a Yakuza member in The Wolverine (2013). On television, he has appeared in series such as The Singapore Grip, Strike Back, and the upcoming historical drama The Narrow Road to the Deep North (2025). In addition to acting, he frequently works behind the scenes as a stunt performer and fight coordinator on films like Beast of War.
