Mateusz Banasiuk

Mateusz Banasiuk is a Polish actor of film, television, and theatre, born on September 21, 1985, in Warsaw, Poland. The son of actor Stanisław Banasiuk, he completed his artistic education at the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw. His early career included numerous television roles, notably the long-running character Radek Zieliński in the popular series First Love (Pierwsza miłość), which he played from 2006 to 2019. His major breakthrough came in 2013 with the critically acclaimed film Floating Skyscrapers (Płynące wieżowce), where his lead role as Kuba earned him an acting award at the "Off Camera" festival. In recent years, Banasiuk has gained international recognition through Netflix productions, starring as Dawid in the crime drama Furioza (2021) and as Stefan Tkaczyk ("Enzo") in the romantic comedy film series Squared Love. His filmography also includes roles in Pitbull. Last Dog (2018) and the war drama Red Poppies (Czerwone maki) (2024). Beyond acting, Banasiuk is known for his musical talent as a co-founder of the rock band Lavina and is actively involved in environmental campaigns, serving as an ambassador for the "Stop the Drought! Start Retention!" initiative.
