Born on December 24, 1973, in Brisbane, Queensland, Matt Passmore is a prominent Australian actor whose career spans across international television and major film franchises. Before finding success in the arts, he served as a field combat engineer in the Australian Army, later working in various labor-intensive roles before deciding to pursue acting professionally. He eventually graduated from the prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 2001. Passmore first became a household name in his native Australia through recurring roles in Blue Heelers and a starring turn as Marcus Turner in the long-running drama McLeod's Daughters. In 2010, Passmore achieved international stardom when he was cast as the lead character, Jim Longworth, in the A&E crime series The Glades, a role he played for four seasons. He continued his streak of leading roles in the USA Network drama Satisfaction and the Netflix hit 13 Reasons Why as Ted Wynn. Within the Saw universe, Passmore is known for his pivotal role in Jigsaw (2017) as Logan Nelson.
