Matt Willis

Matt Willis is an English musician, singer, songwriter, television personality, and actor, born on May 8, 1983, in Tooting, London, England. He is best known as the co-founder, bassist, and co-vocalist of the pop-punk band Busted, which he formed around 2000 and which achieved significant success with hits like "Year 3000" and "What I Go To School For" before disbanding in 2005. Following the split of Busted, Willis launched a solo career, releasing his debut album, Don't Let It Go to Waste, in 2006. In the same year, he gained additional fame by winning the sixth series of the ITV reality show I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! He later returned to music with the supergroup McBusted and then with the reformed original line-up of Busted, who released new albums in 2016 and 2019. As an actor, he has appeared in television shows such as EastEnders and Birds of a Feather, and has performed in the West End in productions like Flashdance and Wicked. He is married to television presenter Emma Griffiths (now Emma Willis), and they have three children together; they co-hosted the ITV2 spin-off show for I'm a Celebrity and, more recently, co-hosted the Netflix series Love is Blind: UK.
