Maurice LaMarche

Maurice LaMarche is a Canadian voice actor and former stand-up comedian, born on March 30, 1958, in Toronto, Ontario. After discovering his talent for mimicry in high school, he pursued a career in comedy, performing stand-up in clubs throughout the United States and opening for acts like Rodney Dangerfield and George Carlin. LaMarche's career transitioned into voice acting in 1980 with animated Canadian TV specials. He secured his first major animated role as Chief Quimby in Inspector Gadget, and later gained further recognition as Egon Spengler in The Real Ghostbusters. LaMarche is perhaps best known for voicing The Brain in Animaniacs and its spin-off Pinky and the Brain, a performance inspired by Orson Welles that earned him an Annie Award. His extensive work on the animated series Futurama brought him multiple roles, including Kif Kroker, Calculon, Morbo, and Lrrr, and he has won two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance for his work on the show. Throughout his career, which spans more than four decades, he has voiced a vast number of characters across film and television, such as Big Bob in Hey Arnold!, Mr. Big in Zootopia, and provided the voice for Alec Baldwin in Team America: World Police. LaMarche is married to Robin Eiseman and has one child.
