He studied at the prestigious Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts and established his "artistic home" at the Komische Oper Berlin, where he is well-known for his versatility in both dramatic and musical theater, including acclaimed roles as Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof and Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady. On screen, he is widely recognized for his recurring role as Prosecutor Dr. Brunner in the long-running crime series Der Usedom-Krimi and has appeared in internationally noted films such as Speed Racer (2008), The Silent Revolution (2018), and Fatih Akin's recent historical drama Amrum (2025).
