Max Minghella

Max Minghella is a British actor, director, and screenwriter. Born in London on September 16, 1985, he is the son of the late acclaimed film director Anthony Minghella and choreographer Carolyn Choa. He was immersed in the film industry from a young age, with an uncredited role in his father's film Cold Mountain and a feature film debut in 2005's Bee Season.He gained wider recognition for his work in films like Syriana (2005) and David Fincher's The Social Network (2010), where he played Divya Narendra. He has since appeared in a variety of films including The Ides of March (2011), The Internship (2013), and the Saw franchise installment Spiral (2021).On television, Minghella is most notably known for his role as Nick Blaine, a complex and central character in the critically acclaimed series The Handmaid's Tale. His performance in the show earned him a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2021.Beyond acting, Minghella has also made a name for himself behind the camera. He wrote and produced the 2016 film The 9th Life of Louis Drax and made his directorial debut with the 2018 film Teen Spirit, which he also wrote and produced. He has since directed another film, the psychological thriller Shell.
