Max Wiedemann
Max Wiedemann (born December 22, 1977, in Munich) is a highly acclaimed German film and television producer, and co‑founder of Wiedemann & Berg Film and W&B Television. He studied production and media management at the University of Television and Film Munich, graduating in 2003. In that year, alongside Quirin Berg, he launched Wiedemann & Berg Film, followed by W&B Television in 2010. The companies, credited with over 160–170 productions including The Lives of Others (Oscar®‑winning, 2007), Never Look Away (two‑time Oscar nominee), and TV series like Dark, 4 Blocks, and Pagan Peak, became part of LEONINE Studios in 2020, where Wiedemann has been both Chief Production Officer and Chief Business Development Officer. Wiedemann has earned numerous awards—including European Film Awards, BAFTAs, German Film and Television Prizes, the Bavarian Film Prize, Bambi, Golden Camera, LA Critics Award, and Magnolia Award—alongside active membership in the German, European, and British Film Academies. In February 2025, he expanded his role by becoming Head of Artificial Intelligence at Mediawan Group, spearheading the integration of AI across production and distribution—a reflection of his forward-thinking approach to content creation and innovation.
