
Mela Pietropaolo
Mela Pietropaolo is a rising young Canadian actress and voice performer known for her work in television and animated films. Proud of her mixed Sri Lankan-Indian heritage, she began her professional journey at a young age and has already built a diverse portfolio. Her early career includes several appearances in popular television series such as Motherland: Fort Salem (2020), Resident Alien (2021), and Fire Country (2022), as well as a role in the 2024 series Avatar: The Last Airbender. Beyond scripted television, she has become a familiar face on CBC Kids News, where she serves as a contributor, often appearing with her sidekick-cat Blossom to explain historical and cultural topics to younger audiences. In addition to her screen work, Mela has a strong background in live performance and voice acting. She completed three consecutive runs as an "East Van Panto Kid" in Theatre Replacement’s popular East Van Panto production and has contributed her voice to an upcoming Netflix animated series. Most recently, she joined the star-studded voice cast of the 2025/2026 animated film Charlie the Wonderdog, starring alongside Owen Wilson.
