Melissa Joan Hart

Melissa Joan Hart is a prominent American actress, director, and producer who rose to fame as a defining star of 1990s television. Born on April 18, 1976, she is most famous for playing the title characters in two long-running, successful sitcoms. Her breakthrough role was as the quick-witted, fourth-wall-breaking teenager Clarissa Darling in the Nickelodeon series 'Clarissa Explains It All' (1991–1994). She then cemented her status as a pop culture icon by starring as the titular magic-user Sabrina Spellman in 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch' (1996–2003), a fantasy sitcom that spanned seven seasons. After her success as a teen idol, Hart transitioned into adult television with the ABC Family/Freeform sitcom 'Melissa & Joey' (2010–2015), where she starred opposite Joey Lawrence as political operative Mel Burke and also served as an executive producer and director. She is a prolific presence in the TV movie landscape, particularly with the Lifetime network, often starring in and executive producing holiday-themed films. Most recently, she appeared as Kate's best friend in the 2025 Netflix Christmas romantic comedy film 'A Merry Little Ex-Mas' alongside Alicia Silverstone, and is set to star in and executive produce the 2025 Lifetime thriller 'Killing the Competition'. Hart has been married to musician Mark Wilkerson since 2003, and they have three sons together.
