Maria Mercedes Porte Cabral is a Filipino actress born on August 10, 1986, in Manila, Philippines. She is widely known for her roles in arthouse and independent films and has also appeared in numerous international productions. Cabral studied Fine Arts, specializing in Sculpture, at the University of the Philippines Diliman, and has been professionally active as an actress since 2008. She is particularly recognized for her collaborations with director Brillante Mendoza in films such as Serbis (2008), Kinatay (2009), Captive (2012), and Thy Womb (2012). Her international work includes an appearance in the 2009 South Korean film Thirst directed by Park Chan-wook. Throughout her career, she has garnered several accolades, including a World Premieres Film Festival Award, a Metro Manila Film Festival Award, and a Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival Award.
