Mia Morrissey
Mia Morrissey is an Australian actress, singer, and writer who began her acting career at the age of sixteen in the short film Bat Eyes, which was screened at the Venice Film Festival. Shortly after, she landed a lead role in the Australian-German musical comedy series In Your Dreams, where she also contributed original music. Morrissey further honed her craft by studying at the Atlantic Theatre Company in New York and later graduating from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA).Since graduating, she has appeared in various television series, including Home and Away as Jade Lennox, Harrow, Totally Completely Fine as Laura, and the Amazon Original series Deadloch as Nadiyah Zammit. She has also had roles in the films When Harri Met Salma, Cusp, and the upcoming Together (2025) as Cath. In addition to her screen work, Morrissey has a background in theatre, notably playing Mimi in RENT at the Sydney Opera House and Gabby/Bobbi in City Of Angels. She also wrote, composed, and starred in her one-person musical about grief, In Loving Memory.Beyond acting and singing, Morrissey is an advocate for body positivity and has openly discussed her experiences with endometriosis, aiming to raise awareness and destigmatize conversations around reproductive health. She initiated "The Gained Project" on Instagram to promote positive body image and has collaborated with The Butterfly Foundation on eating disorder awareness.
