Mia Sara, born Mia Sarapochiello on June 19, 1967, in Brooklyn Heights, New York, is an American actress who rose to prominence in the 1980s. She is best known for her iconic roles as Princess Lili in Ridley Scott's fantasy film "Legend" (1985), opposite Tom Cruise, and as Sloane Peterson, Ferris Bueller's stylish girlfriend, in John Hughes' classic comedy "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" (1986). She continued to build her filmography with roles in films like "A Stranger Among Us" (1992) and "Timecop" (1994), for which she won a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress. On television, she led the miniseries "Queenie" (1987) and had a recurring role as Dr. Harleen Quinzel/Harley Quinn in the short-lived series "Birds of Prey" (2002-2003).After a period of reduced acting work, focusing on her personal life and a passion for writing poetry, Mia Sara made a notable return to the screen in Mike Flanagan's "The Life of Chuck" (2025), which premiered in select US theaters in June 2025.
