Michael Bakari Jordan (born February 9, 1987) is an American actor, producer, and director. He gained initial recognition for his roles in television, notably as Wallace in the first season of the acclaimed HBO crime drama series The Wire (2002). He further starred in the ABC soap opera All My Children (2003–2006) and the NBC sports drama series Friday Night Lights (2009–2011).Jordan transitioned successfully to film, earning critical acclaim for his portrayal of Oscar Grant in the drama Fruitvale Station (2013), a role written and directed by Ryan Coogler, marking the beginning of a significant collaboration between the two.
