Michael Biehn is an American actor, director, and executive producer, born Michael Connell Biehn on July 31, 1956, in Anniston, Alabama. He is the second of three sons born to Marcia (née Connell) and Don Biehn, a lawyer. His family moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, and then to Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where he became involved in high school drama. He later attended the drama program at the University of Arizona before moving to Hollywood to pursue acting.Biehn began his career with minor roles, including an uncredited appearance in Grease (1978) and a part in the made-for-television movie A Fire in the Sky (1978). His breakout role came as a psychotic fan in The Fan (1981). He gained significant recognition for his collaborations with director James Cameron, starring as Sgt. Kyle Reese in The Terminator (1984), Cpl. Dwayne Hicks in Aliens (1986), and Lt. Coffey in The Abyss (1989). These science fiction roles cemented his presence in the genre.Throughout the 1990s, Biehn continued to appear in notable films such as Navy SEALs (1990), K2 (1991), and was particularly praised for his portrayal of Johnny Ringo in Tombstone (1993). Other film credits include The Rock (1996), Megiddo: The Omega Code 2 (2001), Clockstoppers (2002), and Planet Terror (2007). On television, he has appeared in Hill Street Blues (1984), The Magnificent Seven (1998–2000), Adventure Inc. (2002–2003), and more recently, The Mandalorian (2019). Biehn has also ventured into directing and producing, including films like The Victim (2011) and The Blood Bond (2010). He has been honored with awards such as the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films Life Career Award and the Sitges - Catalonian International Film Festival Time-Machine Honorary Award.Michael Biehn has been married three times and is the father of five sons. As of 2016, he is married to actress Jennifer Blanc, with whom he has a son named Dashiell King Biehn.
