Michael Papajohn (born November 7, 1964, in Vestavia Hills, Birmingham, Alabama) is an American actor, stuntman, and producer whose career is a testament to athleticism and versatility. After distinguishing himself as a center fielder on LSU’s baseball team—including participating in the 1986–87 College World Series—he pivoted to film when stunt gigs came calling during college, sparked by a role as Dennis Quaid’s football double in Everybody’s All-American . Encouraged by director Taylor Hackford, Michael pursued stunt work on major sets such as Money Talks, Starship Troopers, and Titanic . His screen presence transitioned seamlessly into acting roles, notably appearing as Dennis Carradine—the carjacker believed to have killed Uncle Ben—in Sam Raimi’s Spider‑Man trilogy, and performing stunts in Adam Sandler films like The Waterboy and The Longest Yard. Over a 30+ year career, Papajohn has accrued more than 150 credits in productions such as Predator 2, For Love of the Game, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Jurassic World, American Ultra, and The Bourne Legacy. As he aged out of high-impact stunts, he honed his acting craft with coaches like Larry Moss, aiming for authenticity that defines his work. He now frequently portrays character roles—often tough guys or professionals—while producing independent projects and documentaries that showcase his artistic drive . Married since 2005 to Paula with whom he has a son, Papajohn lives between Baton Rouge and L.A., balancing family, stunt legacy, and creative endeavors. In the forthcoming action thriller Off the Grid (2025), he plays a supporting role as part of the survivalist team, further contributing to his rich tapestry of rugged, evocative screen personas.
