Michael Patrick Lane

Michael Patrick Lane is an American actor, writer, and producer who was born in Bryan, Texas. He is the oldest of two children and his parents are Becky Lane (teacher) and Fred Lane (courier). His career began with a role in the musical Godspell at age nine, and he spent another decade performing in musical revues and concerts, including with Barry Manilow and The All-State Choir. Although he attended college for business and finance in Texas, he later pursued acting, receiving training with master Meisner teacher Kathryn Gately and continuing his studies with Anthony Abeson and The Barrow Group in New York City. His first major supporting screen role was Earl Hutchins in Sun Records, and his filmography includes roles such as Vance in The Moderator (2022), parts in Redemption Day (2021), Miss Fisher and The Crypt of Tears (2020), Unseen (2023), and You, Me, and That Mountain Retreat (2023), as well as a recurring role in the TV series Dynasty. Lane is known for playing roles with duality and intensity and has received a Daytime Emmy nomination for his work in Rekindling Christmas.
