Michael Trucco
Edward Michael Trucco (born June 22, 1970) is an American actor known for his extensive work in television and film. Hailing from San Mateo, California, Trucco initially considered a career in law enforcement like his police officer father, but discovered his passion for acting while studying Criminal Justice at Santa Clara University. He switched his major to Theatre Arts and graduated with a bachelor's degree.Trucco began his acting career in the late 1990s with guest appearances on numerous popular TV series, including "Touched by an Angel," "Beverly Hills, 90210," "Sabrina The Teenage Witch," and "Pensacola: Wings of Gold." He rose to prominence for his role as Samuel T. Anders in the critically acclaimed reimagined "Battlestar Galactica" (2004-2009). His television credits also include recurring roles as Nick Petteruti in "How I Met Your Mother," Cooper Lee in "One Tree Hill," Nate Ryan in "Revenge," and Luke Leone in "Fire Country."He has also become a frequent collaborator with director Mike Flanagan, appearing in his Netflix horror series "Midnight Mass" (2021) and "The Fall of the House of Usher" (2023). In film, Trucco has appeared in projects such as "Next" (2007), "Hush" (2016), "The Bye Bye Man" (2017), and "Hunter Killer" (2018).Outside of acting, Trucco is a musician and plays guitar in his band, Simpleworld. He also co-founded Trick Films, a production company, in 2024. His upcoming projects include "The Life of Chuck" (2025), another collaboration with Mike Flanagan, and "The Electric State" (2025), a Russo Brothers film.
