He began his career in the 1980s as a dancer with TVB before transitioning into acting and music. In the early 1990s, he formed the boy band Wind Fire Sea with fellow entertainers Jordan Chan and Jason Chu. The group released two albums but disbanded after a brief period. Tse's breakthrough came with his portrayal of the undercover cop "Laughing Gor" in the 2009 TVB drama E.U.
