Mido Hamada is an Egyptian-German actor who was born in Cairo, Egypt, and raised in Germany. He later moved to England to study acting at the Oxford School of Drama. Hamada has an extensive career across film, television, and theatre, and is known for roles in various international productions. His film credits include playing Mamoud in the 2025 mystery thriller Murder at the Embassy, "The Butcher" in the Oscar-winning biographical drama American Sniper (2014), and roles in films such as Wildcat (2021), Unknown (2011), and Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (2004). On television, he is recognized for his work in major series like 24, where he played the arch-villain Samir Mehran, as well as roles in Homeland, Counterpart, Emerald City, Foundation, and Red Eye. In Murder at the Embassy, Mido Hamada plays Mamoud, the embassy's resident guard in Cairo, who is seen looking on curiously and questioning the methods of the private detective, Miranda Green, and is expected to be by her side as the investigation moves beyond the embassy's walls.
