Mido Kotaini is a Syrian actor, born on March 20, 2002. At the age of 14, he traveled to Germany without his parents, having fled the Syrian Civil War. He currently resides in Düsseldorf, with housing options also in Cologne and Berlin, and is proficient in Arabic (his mother tongue), German, English, and Spanish. Kotaini began his acting career with his debut as Osman in the comedy series Almania (2021–2024), which airs on ARD. He gained further prominence in 2024 with a major role as Aladin in the fantasy-comedy film Chantal\ im\ Märchenland, which is a spin-off of the Fack\ ju\ Göhte franchise. His filmography also includes the feature film Mein\ Lotta-Leben:\ Alles\ Tschaka\ mit\ Alpaka! (2022) and roles in German crime series such as Tatort and Kommissarin\ Lucas.
