Miguel Rellán, born Miguel Ángel Rellán García on November 7, 1943, in Tétouan, Morocco, is one of Spain's most respected and enduring actors. Initially, he pursued a career in medicine at the University of Seville, but his passion for theater led him to abandon his studies. He became a key figure in the independent theater movement of the time, co-founding the group Esperpento in the 1960s.His long and decorated career in film, television, and theater began in the 1970s. He made his feature film debut in El perro (1977) and went on to work with some of Spain's most celebrated directors, including José Luis Garci, José Luis Cuerda, and Pedro Almodóvar. A testament to his talent, he was the first actor to win the Goya Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1987 for his work in Tata mía.Rellán's television career is equally impressive. He gained widespread popularity for his portrayal of history teacher Félix in the beloved series Compañeros (1998-2002). He has also appeared in a variety of other hit shows, such as El ministerio del tiempo and La que se avecina, showcasing his range across comedy and drama.
