Mikael Marcimain, born on March 17, 1970, in Stockholm, is a highly acclaimed Swedish film and television director. He began his career in the early 1990s as an assistant director before making his breakthrough with television dramas. His notable early television work includes the miniseries The Laser Man (2005) and How Soon Is Now? (2007), both of which earned him critical acclaim and awards. He made his feature film debut with the political thriller Call Girl (2012), which won the International Critics' Award at the Toronto Film Festival. He was also nominated for a Guldbagge Award for Best Director for the film.
