Michael "Mike" Meadows is an American professional musician, producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, who has been a long-standing member of Taylor Swift's band, "The Agency," since before the start of The Fearless Tour in 2009. Born on April 1st in Danville, Virginia, he developed an affinity for music at a young age, starting with the guitar at eight and later earning a Bachelor's Degree in Cello Performance from James Madison University. This classical training makes him a unique and versatile member of The Agency. Meadows is renowned for his ability to play a wide variety of stringed instruments, including guitar, mandolin, banjo, cello, and bass, in addition to providing backing vocals and playing keyboards. His extensive touring experience before joining Swift included playing bass and singing backup for the Pat McGee Band, and playing various instruments for Lyric Street Recording artist Josh Gracin. As one of the core members of The Agency, he has played on every major tour since Fearless, including The Red Tour, The 1989 World Tour, the Reputation Stadium Tour, and the massive The Eras Tour (2023-2024), where his instrumental versatility is essential to covering Swift's diverse musical catalog.
