Millen Baird is an award-winning New Zealand actor, writer, producer, and director with a career spanning over two decades. He is of Te Āti Awa descent. While he has gained international attention for his role as a police detective in the horror film M3GAN (2022), he has long been a key figure in New Zealand's comedy scene.Baird is known for creating and starring in his own shows. His sketch comedy series, The Millen Baird Show, was nominated for Best Comedy at the 2009 NZ Film & TV Awards. He also co-created and starred in the semi-autobiographical series Auckland Daze (2011), which won Best Comedy Script at the NZ Writers Guild Awards in both 2012 and 2014. Another notable project is Darryl: An Outward Bound Story, which he wrote, produced, and starred in, and which earned him additional writing awards. In addition to his creative work, Baird is a versatile actor with a wide range of credits in film and television, including roles in Housebound, The Almighty Johnsons, and the 2024 film Bookworm.
