Miryam Gallego
Miryam Gallego (born November 30, 1976, in Ourense, Galicia, Spain) is a Spanish actress renowned for her work in television, film, and theater. She began her acting career at 18, initially appearing in regional productions such as Pratos combinados on TVG. After graduating in Dramatic Arts from the Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático (RESAD) in Madrid in 1998, she further honed her craft through various workshops, including Commedia dell'Arte with Antonio Faba and voice training with Mia Patterson. Gallego's breakthrough role came in 2000 when she joined the cast of the TV series Periodistas, portraying Claudia Montero. She later appeared in Hospital Central, Lobos, and El comisario. However, it was her portrayal of Lucrecia de Guzmán, the formidable Marchioness of Santillana, in the long-running series Águila Roja (2009–2016) that solidified her fame . In addition to her television work, Gallego has featured in several films, including Concursante (2007), La voz dormida (2011), and Águila Roja: la película (2011). She has also participated in theater productions such as Rey Lear (2008) and Numancia (2016). In recent years, Gallego has taken on roles in series like Secretos de Estado (2019), Instinto (2019), Sequía (2022), 4 estrellas (2023), and La Moderna (2023–2024) . On a personal note, Gallego is married to Eduardo Alcántara, the son of the late Spanish author Dulce Chacón. They have three children: Luna, Otto, and Noé .
