Monica Potter is an American actress, producer, and entrepreneur, born on June 30, 1971, in Cleveland, Ohio. She developed an interest in acting at a young age, and with the support of her parents, she began modeling and appearing in commercials at the age of twelve. After moving to Los Angeles in 1994, she landed her first major role on the daytime soap opera The Young and the Restless. Potter’s film career took off in the late 1990s with prominent roles in blockbuster films like Con Air (1997), where she played the wife of Nicolas Cage's character, and the Robin Williams-led comedy-drama Patch Adams (1998).
