Morgan Spector is an American actor known for his versatile performances in television, film, and theater. Born on October 4, 1980, in Santa Rosa, California, he grew up in Guerneville. Spector is of Jewish descent on his father's side and Irish Catholic on his mother's. He began acting at age eight and later pursued his passion by earning a BA from Reed College and an MFA from the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. Spector's career spans various genres and platforms. He gained recognition for his roles in the TV series Allegiance (2015), The Mist (2017), Homeland (2018), and Pearson (2019). In film, he has appeared in The Drop (2014), Christine (2016), A Vigilante (2018), and Boston Strangler (2023). Notably, he starred in HBO's The Plot Against America (2020) and plays George Russell in The Gilded Age (2022–present). On the personal front, Spector married actress Rebecca Hall in 2015, whom he met during their work on the Broadway play Machinal. They have a child together. Spector is also known for his activism and support of workers' rights.
