Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Jr., popularly known as N. T. Rama Rao Jr. or NTR Jr., is a celebrated Indian actor, producer, and television presenter who primarily works in Telugu cinema. Born on May 20, 1983, in Hyderabad, he is the grandson of the legendary actor and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. T. Rama Rao. Coming from a distinguished film family, his father, Nandamuri Harikrishna, was also an actor and politician. NTR Jr. is a trained Kuchipudi dancer and one of the highest-paid actors in India, known for his powerful performances, exceptional dialogue delivery, and dynamic dancing.He began his career as a child actor in films like Brahmarshi Viswamitra (1991) and the National Film Award-winning Ramayanam (1997). His debut as a lead actor came with Ninnu Choodalani (2001), but his breakthrough was with S. S. Rajamouli's directorial debut, Student No: 1 (2001), and the action film Aadi (2002). His career is marked by a series of commercially successful films, including Simhadri (2003), Yamadonga (2007), Adhurs (2010), Baadshah (2013), and Janatha Garage (2016). His versatility was further showcased in his triple role in Jai Lava Kusa (2017).NTR Jr.'s international fame soared with his performance as Komaram Bheem in S. S. Rajamouli's global phenomenon RRR (2022). The film earned him widespread acclaim, a nomination for Best Actor in an Action Movie at the Critics' Choice Super Awards, and solidified his status as a pan-Indian and international star. He has received numerous awards throughout his career, including three Filmfare Awards South for Best Actor.
