Nairu Yamamoto is a Japanese model and actress who began her career as a model, appearing in magazines, commercials, and fashion shows, and later transitioned into acting around 2019. Concurrent with her artistic pursuits, she also serves as the editor-in-chief for her own free publication, EA magazine. Since her cinematic debut in Rikiya Imaizumi's 2020 film The Cat Stepped Out (also known as Neko wa Nigeta), she has become a significant figure in the indie cinema scene. Her recent career surge includes a remarkable six film releases in one year, such as starring in Super Happy Forever, which was the opening feature for the Venice Days section of the 81st Venice International Film Festival, and co-leading the film Night Drifting. She is also known for Good News (2025).
