Natascha Wharton
Natascha Maria Wharton (born June 1965 in Trinidad to a German mother and Trinidadian father) is a prominent British film producer and senior production executive. She began her career in the early 1990s as an assistant to Working Title Films founders Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner, contributing to acclaimed projects like Four Weddings and a Funeral and A Kiss Before Dying before moving into development roles. In 1999, Wharton founded WT² Productions—Working Title’s low‑budget independent arm—where she executive-produced breakout hits such as Billy Elliot, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, My Little Eye and Ali G Indahouse. After leaving Working Title in July 2009, she joined the British Film Institute’s Film Fund as Head of Development and Production Executive, supporting numerous British films. Across her executive-producer credits, Wharton’s films have collectively earned nearly $300 million at the global box office.
