Neve Campbell

Neve Campbell is a Canadian actress and producer born on October 3, 1973, in Guelph, Ontario. Originally trained as a professional ballerina at the National Ballet School of Canada, she shifted to acting at age 15 after a series of injuries, eventually finding fame as Julia Salinger in the hit teen drama Party of Five (1994–2000). She became a global icon and a definitive "Scream Queen" for her role as Sidney Prescott in Wes Craven's Scream (1996), a character she has portrayed in nearly every installment of the franchise. Beyond horror, Campbell starred in the cult classic The Craft (1996), the erotic thriller Wild Things (1998), and the critically acclaimed ballet drama The Company (2003), which she also wrote and produced. In recent years, she has enjoyed a television resurgence with starring roles in House of Cards and as Maggie McPherson in Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer (2022–present). In her personal life, Campbell has been in a long-term partnership with actor JJ Feild since 2011, and the couple has two sons, Caspian and Raynor. After sitting out 2023’s Scream VI due to a publicized salary dispute, Campbell’s triumphant return was confirmed for Scream 7, scheduled for release on February 27, 2026. Directed by original Scream writer Kevin Williamson, the upcoming film reportedly centers on Sidney protecting her family in a quiet suburban town after a new Ghostface begins targeting her daughter, played by Isabel May. The 2026 sequel is being marketed as a legacy-defining chapter, reuniting Campbell with longtime co-star Courteney Cox and potentially featuring callbacks to the series' very first killers.
