Nikki Amuka-Bird is a Nigerian-born British actress known for her versatile work across stage, television, and film. Born on February 27, 1976, in Delta State, Nigeria, she moved as a child and was raised in England, Lagos, and Antigua before studying at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). She began her career on the stage with the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), earning an Ian Charleson Award nomination for her role in Twelfth Night. Amuka-Bird's television work includes notable roles in British series like Spooks, Luther, and the post-apocalyptic drama Survivors, and she received a BAFTA nomination for Best Actress for her leading role in the 2016 BBC adaptation of Zadie Smith's novel, NW. On film, she has appeared in a wide array of international productions, including The Omen (2006), Jupiter Ascending (2015), The Personal History of David Copperfield (2019), M.
