Nina Oyama is an Australian comedian, writer, and actress known for her sharp wit, distinctive style of comedy, and work across various platforms including television and radio. Oyama is best recognized for her breakout role as the hilarious and chaotic office assistant Courtney in the highly popular Australian comedy series Utopia (known as Dreamland internationally), which has run since 2014. Her comedy career began in stand-up, which she frequently performs across Australia, and she has had successful runs at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and other major festivals. As a writer, she has contributed to several publications and television programs. She was a staff writer on Tonightly with Tom Ballard and has also worked on the writing teams for shows like The Weekly with Charlie Pickering. In addition to her live and screen work, she is a regular voice on Australian radio and has also delved into voice acting, notably taking on the role of the energetic young sea dragon Pip in the upcoming animated film adaptation The Pout-Pout Fish (2026).
