Norman Reedus is an American actor, artist, and photographer, best known for his portrayal of Daryl Dixon in the AMC post-apocalyptic horror series The Walking Dead. Born on January 6, 1969, in Hollywood, Florida, Reedus spent a significant portion of his early life traveling and living in various locations around the world, including England, Japan, and Spain. His journey into acting was somewhat accidental; after moving to Los Angeles and working at a Harley-Davidson shop, he reportedly landed his first acting gig after an impromptu outburst at a party.His acting career began in the mid-1990s, with early roles in films like Guillermo del Toro's Mimic (1997). He gained cult recognition for his role as Murphy MacManus in the 1999 film The Boondock Saints, a role he reprised in the 2009 sequel.
