Olga Kurylenko

Olga Kurylenko is a French-Ukrainian actress and former model, renowned for her roles in Quantum of Solace (2008), Oblivion (2013), and Black Widow (2021). Born on November 14, 1979, in Berdyansk, Ukraine, she was raised by her mother, Marina Alyabysheva, an art teacher, after her parents' divorce when she was three. At 13, during a trip to Moscow, she was discovered by a modeling scout, leading her to pursue a career in modeling. At 15, she moved to Moscow for training and, by 16, relocated to Paris, where she learned French and signed with the Madison modeling agency. By 18, she had graced the covers of major fashion magazines like Vogue, Elle, and Marie Claire, and became the face of brands such as Lejaby and Bebe. Transitioning to acting in the mid-2000s, she made her debut in the French film L’annulaire (2005) and rose to global fame as Camille Montes in Quantum of Solace. Over the years, she has starred in a wide range of international films and television series, often portraying strong, complex female characters. Olga holds French citizenship (since 2001) and speaks Russian, Ukrainian, French, and English fluently. Outside of her film work, she is known for her advocacy for children's rights, particularly through her role as an ambassador for Hope and Homes for Children, a charity working to end institutional orphanages and reunite children with families. She has one son, born in 2015, and continues to be active in both her acting career and philanthropic efforts.
