Olga Osorio

Olga Osorio is a Galician filmmaker, educator, and photographer renowned for her work in Spanish cinema. She holds a PhD in Humanities and a degree in Journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid. Currently, she teaches film direction, management, and camera planning at the School of Image and Sound in A Coruña, specializing in media education. Osorio's filmography includes several acclaimed short films and music videos that have garnered over 80 awards and more than 500 selections at international festivals such as Sitges, Seattle, and Palm Springs. Her debut feature film, ¡Salta! (2023), also known as Un pasado por delante, was released theatrically in September 2023 and is now available on various platforms. Her second feature, El secreto del orfebre (The Goldsmith's Secret), premiered in Spain on February 28, 2025. Based on Elia Barceló's novel, the romantic drama stars Mario Casas and Michelle Jenner. The film was well-received, reaching the top 5 at the Spanish box office and grossing over €1 million. Osorio is currently developing a new fantasy film with Vaca Films and has been selected for an intensive screenwriting workshop with Spanish screenwriter Alberto Marini.
