Oliver Briscombe
Oliver Briscombe is a rising young British actor who is quickly making his mark in the industry following his professional debut. He is perhaps best known for his role as one of the young leads, "Lofty," in the highly anticipated 2025 historical comedy-drama film, The Choral. Set in 1916 and written by Alan Bennett, the film features Briscombe's character, Lofty, who has the poignant and difficult task of delivering death-notice telegrams to the war widows in his small Yorkshire town. He joins the local Choral Society, alongside other teenagers, to fill the void left by men fighting in World War I, acting alongside established stars like Ralph Fiennes. The Choral marks his feature film debut, following his training, which included achieving a Distinction in his UAL L3 Extended Diploma in Performance and Production (Acting). Briscombe's early career also includes a role in the short film How to Date Billy Walsh and a short film for the North Yorkshire Police.
