Oliver Rutledge Hudson is a popular American actor, known for his work in both comedy and drama series on television, as well as feature films. Born on September 7, 1976, in Los Angeles, California, he is the eldest child of Academy Award-winning actress Goldie Hawn and musician Bill Hudson, and the older brother of actress Kate Hudson. After his parents divorced, he and his sister were raised primarily by his mother and her long-time partner, actor Kurt Russell, whom Oliver considers his father figure.Hudson’s career gained significant traction with his recurring role as Eddie Doling on the hit series 'Dawson's Creek' (2002–2003). He cemented his status as a sitcom star by playing the main role of Adam Rhodes in the long-running CBS comedy 'Rules of Engagement' (2007–2013). He later showcased his dramatic range in the role of Jeff Fordham on the musical drama 'Nashville' (2013–2015) and starred as Wes Gardner in the horror-comedy series 'Scream Queens' (2015–2016).
