Owen Cooper
Owen Cooper (born December 5, 2009) is a breakout British actor from Warrington, England, who has quickly become one of the most acclaimed young stars of his generation. He achieved international stardom in early 2025 for his professional debut as Jamie Miller in the Netflix miniseries Adolescence, a role that earned him the Primetime Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor, making him the youngest male ever to win an Emmy. His performance in the series—a demanding, one-shot crime drama created by Stephen Graham—led directly to his casting in major film projects. Outside of acting, Cooper was a promising footballer for the Warrington Rylands U15 squad and is a vocal supporter of Liverpool F.C. In the 2026 film adaptation of Wuthering Heights, Cooper portrays young Heathcliff, the younger version of the character played as an adult by Jacob Elordi. His role is central to the film's first act, depicting Heathcliff’s arrival at the Heights and his initial bond with young Catherine (played by Charlotte Mellington). Cast after a recommendation from Stephen Graham, Cooper has received praise from his adult co-stars, with Jacob Elordi famously describing the 16-year-old’s acting talent as "intimidating" and "brilliant."
